I saw your work in the Dharma Newsletter and found your website. Your batiks are, like Pam said, breathtaking! I struggle to understand how you acheive such a balance of preciseness and fluidity in your figures, especially. Great work!

    Beautiful, and interesting,
compelling and tasty; your batik has charmed me.
From your works I am inspired to break out my dyes again.

I love your batiks. Do you have a price list?

Prices are dependent on how you would like the piece finished, whether framed, sewn (for hanging on a rod like a wall-hanging) or framed (opaque backing or double-glass).

It’s 8/4/08 comments are 2007, but I’ll say something anyway. I’ve been doing Batik on the side since 1969. My sculpture became more popular, so I went there when I was trying to sell. Your examples in Dharma of the figure and the wax and dye are just wonderful. You mentioned the excitement of not knowing what would happen until the end of the project and I totally related. You mentioned being meticulous, I’m in the other realm, but your work is very exciting.

I have seen your work for years and am always amazed by the resonance of power your abstracts invoke. Some 15 years ago I created a batik as a project for an interior design assignment. I recently took up the wax again and find myself a bumbling fledgling in the presence of masters. Your website is very cool. Your blog is compelling. Thank you for the artistry you share.

You’re doing a great job with batik. The abstracts are powerful and have great structure and flow. I’ve been at batik painting for 20 years now and its always great to find another batik fine artist. Keep up the excellent work!
